Found a workaround.
If you make the window narrow enought the toolbar will overflow and make that button accessible (see the latest screenshot).

Yes, this has been on the bottom of my todo list for a long time. At one point in time davidplunkett had provided me with instructions on how to fix it but I didn't understand exactly what to do on a quick read-through and then it got buried under higher priorities. I'll see if I can figure it out. If I remember correctly it requires tweaking some Javascript.
